Comments about the artist's music
Tom Kidd, Music Connection - "We also liked 'Nonnie Bruce & the Power She Calls Love' because it features the music of composer/ singer/musician Marco Missinato, whose indie release Nostalgia we also enjoy." Todd Everest, Daily Variety - "The music (accompanying 'Nonnie Bruce & the Power She Calls Love') played live by synthesist Marco Missinato aids invaluably to the atmosphere."
About the artist
Born in Pordenone, Italy, a small town not far from Venice, Marco was raised in Rome. A self-taught musician, he began playing the piano and composing music at the age of six. In 1991, Marco came to Los Angeles to study at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood. Since coming to LA, Marco has performed his music with various artists and producers including the theatrical production, "Nonnie Bruce and the Power She Calls Love," starring Sally Kirkland, which highlighted his original material. Marco's instrumental composition "Missing Helena" has been heard on Spelling Television's popular Fox series "Melrose Place" and the ABC soap opera "Port Charles."
Marco's instrumental album entitled "Nostalgia" is a winning collection of original
compositions rich in texture and captivatingly romantic in mood. In his second independent
album, Marco makes his singing debut, performing original compositions in English and
Spanish.
"My music and my songs truly reflect who I am," Marco explains.
"We all build walls around ourselves. Music is the medium that allows us to transcend those
walls, letting us discover and share our feelings with the world."
