I think they looked stupid, slightly offensive and they were not funny if you ask.
Anyway, we had all the rights to draw and publish them.
This is a free Country, and until I'd had to put a burqua on, or break an Italian law, written by freely elected representatives, none can tell me how to behave in my own home.
And anyway. Islamic people (a minority I believe) just got mad because someone in Europe compared Islam to violence. And look what they did. Violence.

I think the cartoon is offensive, but the violence was not the smart thing to do. Free speech is what it is. In the US free speech is an honor and a blessing, look at what happened in NYC a few years ago. Mayor Giuliani wanted to take down a painting of a black Mary covered in feces but the public didn't like it. That was blasphemy against Christianity but no one stood up for the Christians and there was no violence, the painting I think was taken down (I think). That's just one example of free speech and religion. I think there is a lot of blasphemy against christianity but violence is never the answer. Muslims don't even believe in violence so why do they continue to fight over this and blame the US. I just don't understand that reasoning.

The reason why "no ever stood up for the Christians" in the Feces covered blessed mother is because the people who dominate, control and otherwise influence society in NYC are part of the anti-cathiolic bashing group that has been kicking around for some time now...The same group that brought action against aberrant priests which everyone applauds, (even I ) but do not take it one step further and question the true motives of that same group which is catholic bashing whenever and whatever damage they can wrought. =Peter= _________________ There are excellent websites to post inquiries concerning your family genalogy staffed by individual volunteers who do not charge anything but offer their knowledge to preserve family ties.

Who told you that?
Look at Islamic law, like the one that guy in Afghanistan is accused of violating. For simply converting to Christianity he could be executed! Muslims don't believe in violence? Then they better change thier laws!!

Dear CM Forte it is obvious that Presdient Bush is going to attack Iran before the elections so he can frighten the masses into voting for him and his war machine. if he does not he stands to lose the republican domination of government and he cannot have that. A bombing and quick peace overtures should avoid full scale WW111 but assure him a victory in the elections.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=Peter= _________________ There are excellent websites to post inquiries concerning your family genalogy staffed by individual volunteers who do not charge anything but offer their knowledge to preserve family ties.

Actually, I hear that he is going to let Israel make the first strike, then we would come in (because it would be our obligation to our Allies) to support Israel and finish the job.
I, for the record, am not for any of this. I hear that most of the Iranians are pro-Western and pro-Americans and that Iran is actually a democracy, though run by a mad man.
We should sit back and watch where the Iranian people want this to go, but we should retalliate if Iran does attack its neighbors, like Israel.
I am always against "First Strike" or pre-emptive measures. I feel the US should finish wars, not start them.

The Iran threat against Israel is all B.S. since the Presdient of Iran does not control thre armed forces of Iran. he is not the commander ion chief since the parallel government of the religious Mullahs have that authority. So they let him blow steam at Israel, the USA and less to Europe just to keep busting our B...s, and force up oil prices. Bush knows this and so does Israel but Israel wants Iran out of the way like Iraq which President Bush and Cheney were manuvered by 80 billion dollar haliburton contract and wolfowitz's plan to REGIME CHANGE in Iraq and the middle East along with Pearl and Libby (currently in court for double dealing) and Cheney (haliburton was his former employer) and obviously the Jewish lobby. Wolfowitz's regime change plan was first designed by him during the Carter adminsitration and turned down by each adminsitration uintil this current idiot bought the B.S. It is only a matter of time untuil the Israeli interests sink their hooks deeper and deeper into our foreign and domestic policies....but hey better the Jews than the communists!!!=Peter= _________________ There are excellent websites to post inquiries concerning your family genalogy staffed by individual volunteers who do not charge anything but offer their knowledge to preserve family ties.
